Our teachers interact with the scholars in an active and interesting thanks to capturing their students’ attention and encourage creativity.
We all aim to form our hour-long sessions an exciting and fun-packed environment for college kids where they're ready to develop social interaction and communication skills, engage
creatively and express themselves confidently, both physically and vocally.
Class Structure
Our specially written curriculum and specialist
teacher training ensures our students have a balanced, fun-filled lesson hebdomadally. Although the structure remains equivalent hebdomadally, each lesson is different and, with the various age groups offered, a toddler can join the Academy at five years aged and stay until they're 18 without ever repeating a lesson.
Age groups cover:
Lower Primary – 5 to eight years
Upper Primary – 9 to 11 years
Youth Theatre – 12 years plus
Many countries around the world also now offer Kindy Drama – a pre-school programme for
3 and 4-year-olds and, in some areas, adult classes also are available.
The academic year is formed from three terms: Terms 1 and a couple of considering developmental drama with each primary class consisting of
introductory activities, speech exercises, movement and an ingenious improvisation or Mime to Music. In Upper Primary we also
introduce mini-scripts so older students become conversant in using text.
Whilst Youth Theatre follows an identical plan, activities in these classes are age-appropriate and therefore the challenges increase because the students become more independent.
Regardless of age, the most aim of our programme is to create confidence, self-esteem and skill in verbal communication.
All this is often achieved through the unique, diverse curriculum we teach hebdomadally.
Term 3 sees all students within the Academy performing on a scripted piece of labour which they present to oldsters and friends at the top of the tutorial year. Although there are presentations for folks at the top of every term, this is often a culmination that sees every child on stage and involved in the least times.
Fun and galvanizing drama classes for youngsters.

BENEFITS OF OUR PROGRAMME
The Helen O’Grady Children’s Drama Academy was
formed in 1979 when Helen O’Grady, a trained drama teacher, recognised a requirement for young children to develop their confidence and
self-esteem and to enhance their verbal communication skills.
Now, a few years later, once we all rely such a lot on technology and communicate mostly through messages, emails
and social media, that require has never been greater.
Our fun-packed lessons, for all age groups,
instil, firstly in children, the sweetness of the vocable. they allow children to possess something to mention, the arrogance to mention it and therefore the creativity to form it interesting.
Ongoing attendance within the programme develops individuals at their own rate, in numerous ways and allows them to hold their newfound skills seamlessly into ‘real life. there's little question it's the confident, well-spoken and interesting candidate who will
impress the panel/ the varsity board/ the interviewers/ the audience. These are skills which may be learnt and learnt while having fun and making new friends.
